Dell Plans to Invest US$250 Bln in China over 10 Years

Dell's head of Greater China and South Asia said at the Reuters China Investment Summit held in Beijing that the company plans to spend US$250 billion in China on procurement and other investments by 2020, according to a report by Reuters. It is reported that Dell will put emphasis on corporation customers in major Chinese cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai. Meanwhile, the company also plans to extend its reach to smaller Chinese cities and build 800 service centers in fourth- to sixth-tier cities by the end of 2011, according to the same source.
